Connecting your own domain

Publishing on your own domain is included from the Essential plan, and for businesses in Founders 100. We connect a domain you already own: it stays yours and you keep paying your registrar for it.

Step by step

DNS records are a few lines you add wherever you bought the domain. They tell the internet where to send people who type it in. You don't need to understand them: just copy them exactly as they are.

1. 1In your site's dashboard, under Settings, open "Domain" and enter your domain.
2. 2We show you exactly which records to add, with a button to copy each value.
3. 3Go to your registrar's control panel (wherever you bought the domain), DNS section, and add:

• A CNAME on "www" pointing to sites.suwebgratis.es.
• For the domain without www: an ALIAS or ANAME record (sometimes "CNAME flattening") to sites.suwebgratis.es. If your registrar doesn't have one, set up a redirect from yourdomain.com to www.yourdomain.com.
• A TXT record on _webfree-verification with the value we give you. It proves the domain is yours.

4. 4Come back and click "Verify". DNS changes take from a few minutes to a few hours.
