Showing up on Google (and in AI assistants)
What your site already does to be found, and what you can do to help.
In this article
What your site already does
- Loads fast and adapts to mobile, two things Google weighs heavily.
- Tells Google, in its own format, what business you are, where you are and how to reach you.
- Publishes a map of all its pages (sitemap) so Google can find them.
- Includes a summary for AI assistants like ChatGPT (llms.txt).
What you can do
- Complete your business details: address, hours and phone.
- Create or claim your Google Business Profile and add its link to your business details.
- Describe your services in the words your customers use, and mention your town and area.
- Add real reviews from your customers.
- If you can, connect your own domain.
To know exactly what's missing, the visibility report checks it point by point (from the Business plan).
